What does this message mean from eBay?

We need some information before you can list more items

Tell us a little bit more about you

Hi Tunde,

We recently reviewed your selling account and unfortunately we have decreased how much you can list on eBay. For now, here's how much you can list:

User ID:

Items: 10

Amount: £650.00

If you would like to list more items on eBay, we'll need to know some more information about you first. There are 2 ways to do it:

1. The easiest way is to request to list more items on eBay right now. You can always come back to the link in this email to request a review of your selling account.

2. You can also wait until you are ready to list another item. We'll show you how to make a request to list more items at that time.

It means that without further info on your selling activities you're probably stuck with a 10 item limit.

They can smell a rat but just cant get it in their sights to shoot it.

Should I contact them via ebay.ie ?

If that's the site where your account was created then yes, that's what to do.

Best have your tale and the paperwork they'll likely ask for prepared in advance.

What kind of goods do you sell to trigger this reaction?

No I didn’t create the account on there created it on eBay.co.uk

I have not sold nothing yet on the account to trigger it I made this account 1 week ago and today I activated selling account and got this msg from eBay.

10/£650 is the normal selling limit to get on a personal account. That message is regularly sent when making a new account is due to the details being totally stealth.

The account is not restricted nor have you done anything wrong.

If you call in you will be given a limit increase to 100/£3500 if you answer a few basic questions on your proposed selling. If you don't call in the account is still eligible for automated limit increases.

that means you created an account with 100/3500 limit but it was instantly decreased to 10/650 because they did a creditcheck and it did not work.

Usually the 10/650 accounts increase automaticly with time. 2-4 weeks if you use the limit. sometimes sooner

You can call for selling limit increase.
How to safely/properly do it? Sell some items first before you call. I will give you more success.

Does this make my account suspicious to eBay or not?

Yes I know calling them they will increase but won’t it raise a red flag in eBay eyes?

It won't. As it's 'normal' to request for selling limit increase.
