Stealth noob - new IP but suspended
 

Hi wondered if you could help.

I got my friend with a VPN to create a new windows account as suggested, registered with a VPN and the account got suspended just hours later - how come?

All new accounts are being suspended until you call in.

Some guys are saying you can't call in right now because support is closed.. but you can use live chat if that's an option for you.

UK accounts are not being suspended unless you raise red flags.

The vpn is highly likely to be the problem.

To clarify, there have been a massive amount of reports on this forum since the beginning of the year of new accounts being suspended. Most are able to get them reinstated by calling in.

Not saying it wasn't the VPN but it's still worth trying to save the account.

Which VPN is it?
And did you follow the steps in the stealth guide completely?
Did you start selling?

Crappy mainstream VPN, looks like.

Still, I'd try to get the account reinstated before writing it off as a loss.

Its the IP and listing an item right away. Both can kill an account

Ring and you may get it restored.

Yes vpn is the issue I stopped using it and my accounts don’t get suspended now. I was with ipburger.

VPN is only good for account management, and not recommended for accounts creation.
Yes, there are VPNs that are offering residential IPs, you can make use of those.
But It is recommended to just use real IPs, the other option would be using the 3G/4G Mobile Proxies or the Residential IP address proxies.

I was recommended a site called 24vc? To give you a fresh ip address, I thought Id try this way first as a tester (as I thought a VPN *IS*) is a new ip address? So really then you need to buy a fresh IP address with ipburger, but whats the difference?

24vc and IPburger are both VPN companies designed by forum members for stealth account usage (IPburger is run by the owner of this board). They're slightly better than other options because both are designed for this.

By paying extra for a "fresh" IP you're paying for reassurance that the IP you're given hasn't been used to run an eBay account before.


24vc is what I use since they've been around longer and were the only company advertising here when I got started.

so there may have been a strong possibility the x-vpn was an already used or blacklisted one?

yes in the uk, mifi - mobile broadband is expensive though (from a quick google)

that would be in a contract then so if the account is pulled you've got an unnecessary charge
