Something totally bizarre happened......Item sold disappeared from My Ebay

Something totally bizarre happened -- It's kind a long story, thanks for your patience.

On 08/07/09 I sold a Coach coin purse. The winning bidder has 200+ feedbacks. I waited for 2 weeks, no payment, no message. So I gave up and went to My Ebay to file a NPB strike. The bizarre thing was that the item could NOT be found in My Ebay, although I did receive the Item Sold confirmation email. The listing was not removed by Ebay thereafter either. So I figured...oh well, never mind. There was nothing to do. So I listed the item again on 08/21/09, then it was sold, paid for, and delivered. No problem. Then the trouble started on 09/01 when the first NPB emailed me asking me if she's paid for this item, if not, she would pay now. I wrote her back explaining the situation. Received no response, so I figured she's cool about this. Then this morning she emailed me asking me when I shipped out the item since she hasn't received it. I thought I was taking crazy pills. So I immediately emailed her back told her that she never paid for it. The she wrote, "Please look again if it is sold please refund thanks." Refund what?!! Then I checked her feedback and the feedbacks she left for others. It seems she's been pulling the same stunts and leaving seller negs left and right.

So what do I do right now? Can she still leave me a neg since the listing disappeared and all? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

if she bid and it sold then where is it on your sold items list, you need to establish it with ebay, then you will know what happened and whether it was classed as sold or not , that tells you if she can leave a neg, BTW under leave feedback, is her user there for you to fb her, if so she can fb you....

Nope, either her name or the listing could be found in My Ebay......

If you cannot leave fb for her I would hazard to say you can tell her to kiss your shiny metal ass (quote - Bender from Futurama)

OP, you sound rather new with eBay. This also is the kind of thing that you should have asked eBay about, preferably in LiveHelp immediately when the issue appeared.

You described how you have the item # and it was not suspended. You seem to forget that you were charged a FVF and listing fee for it, too.

You have some record in paypal, authorize.net, etc. of if the person paid. She obviously didn't.

Go to eBay's LiveHelp and tell them about the technical error. Feel free to do it multiple times until one of them will help. See what they can do. Ask for a fee refund from eBay because the thing dissapeared and caused problems with the bidder. If eBay will figure out the issue, see if they can refund the listing fee, FVF, and delete the ability for each party to leave feedback (usually deleting the item) since their technical error is about to get you negative feedback.

If eBay won't delete the item, then you can still file a dispute. eBay's dispute console can do it. Sitemap I think can do it. You can also open a link in MyeBay for a dispute with another item and change the item #. Then you go an dispute her. Explain the full situation in the dispute immediately after filing it so eBay's feedback people can read it when you ask for the neg off as she has to respond to that and can't pretend she doesn't know.

You can also go in the feedback link from "my account" or the "leave feedback for a member" from sitemap to find if you can leave her feedback. You likely will find her name.
