eBay tightening things up
 

Just a heads up. I created 4 stealth accounts over the past few weeks. Each item I listed first (used book) it gets suspended, you call in, they ask your name and address, what your plans are with eBay, and then reinstated. However today, I got off the phone with two different reps already asking for my name so they can run it through the public records data to verify me. I had to hang up on both ends because of "connection issues."

Let me know if any of you had the same situation recently. I'm going to wait a few days before trying to call in again for this 4th account.

What number you using to reach ebay ????? These days all customer support over phone is not working.

It’s interesting because last week when I called in for my other stealth, they just asked my name, address, and number. Rep was cool imo. The other stealth account that I called in today, they wanted to go straight to public records.

Well, that's probably your main issue right there. Merchant support is for anchor stores. We pay money to be able to call them. They are the most experienced, and are a dedicated customer support line. Of course they are going to be more strict.

Yes. I think you have to call the Filipino chatbots and they haven't been working for a month now.
