But my first take away is this.
On the 21st of every month, the day after evals, my views spike 500%. Every, single, time. If that doesn't prove throttling, I don't know what the hell would. |

This account is my biggest yet slowest. I'll have to check these stats on my other accounts, especially once we get back to the point where I can consistently keep everything in stock. |

Was really hoping to see this happening to others. Now I don't have any clue what the hell to make of it lol.
What's up with the spikes of external views |
| phaz0rz | 04-30-2020 09:51 AM | Re: New ebay real time traffic reports are interesting I have no idea. :noidea:
I didn't start any promotions or list any new items around that time, so I guess Google just liked my stuff around the middle of February. |
| leighanns520 | 04-30-2020 08:39 PM | Re: New ebay real time traffic reports are interesting I can have listing set for a while prior to someone purchasing.
But when one is purchased I end up selling on the same day all of my stock, multiple buyers
Of the item.
No one wants it till one person buys and then bam all are sold.
This happens a lot |

This happens a lot | I have no idea how that has to do with anything that I posted.
And no, that's not how it works at all. Especially with my items, that are niche items. I've had someone buy one, and like magic, 2 more buyers, even tho I'm the only one selling the item, and I've had it up for months. The listings were buried or completely hidden.
Someone buys your item, and bam, ebay brings it up in search results and everyone sees it, meaning more people buy it, meaning ebay brings you up higher. Or even simpler, ebay put that item up in search results and from the start, everyone bought because of that. No one was buying your item, because it was buried in searches. Until it wasn't. |

If I sell something lets say a toy, I sell multiple toys that day. I also noticed if I sell something from 10 months ago, other items from that same time frame of 9-10 months ago also sell same day.
So i do find it true that once a item sells your similar items are more visible as well as items from the same time it was listed are made more visible. (i only sell with good till cancelled) |

(i only sell with good till cancelled) | I have the same issue, tho I almost always end listings after 30 days of not being sold, and relist if watched, and sell similar if not. But even with those, I've had an item I've been trying to sell for a year, magically sell to multiple buyers within hours, sometimes even MINUTES of each other. And again, my items are very niche, and sometimes I'm even the only one that has them listed. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:27 PM. | |
