eBay asking for ID and invoices
 

Here is the message I got after receiving mc011:

Your account has been placed on hold while we review some documents we'd like you to send.

Please send us the following documents:

- Proof of identity for yourself, as it matches eBay, to verify the contact information on file. You can send a driver's license, passport, any government-issued ID. We also want to verify your address, so any bank or mail statements addressed to you would be perfect.

- Proof of purchase for the items listed and sold. You can submit invoices, receipts, order confirmations, etc., that show item prices/billing/shipping information, etc.

Need you advice on this one. I have invoices from my wholesale supplier but the ID I’m concerned. Should I provide my passport? My eBay name is my middle and last name, so it’s not fully stealth. Or should I provide a creative ID to protect myself and not give eBay my real identity documents ?

I have no advice for you but do have questions.
Do you know what triggered the mc011?
Is it a new account? Managed payments or PayPal?

the doc you are about to give them has to be exact in terms of info with your account info.

Just FYI, when they ask for these info, usually they suspend the account any ways or ask for more info then suspend the account.
I really hope it won't be the case with you, but I just want you to be prepared.

The account was created January 28,2020 and I was issued MC011 on April 23, 2020. Just shy of 90 days. My sales jumped from barely $200/day to $2700, then $1500, then $1800 then mc011. Metrics are perfect.

I would not give eb real identity documents so creativity is key

Saijin is right,if you received MC011 ,giving them more documents is a waste of time.
