Hi, all!

This may not come as a surprise for those computer-savvy, but it was clearly a shock to me when I read it. I wonder if eBay could be sued for privacy intrusion...

I can confirm some personal experience that they indeed exploit these ports. I can't speak much on it since our company have a case against them.

The scanned ports are not open for the outside so how they can be abused ?

There scanning to make sure YOUR computer is not compromised, those ports will be remote access ports and are targeted by hackers who then use your ebay account to make fraudulent purchases,
They have always done this,
