Account Bellow standard for order defect Rate
 

Hi everyone,

whats the quickest way to reduce my order defect rate from 3.9% to 2%.

This mainly happened due to canceling orders because of stock issues.

I have put in measures to prevent this happening in the future.

Currently, my account is bellow standard because of the 3.9% order defect rate.

Any way i can fix this quickly in order to be able to increase my selling allowance.

Hmmm... you can sell cheap items, ship super fast then ask for feedback.
you can ask family members to also buy from you and leave you good feedback.

When you cancel an order that is out of stock and ebay tells you to choose the reason why you are cancelling the order do not put because is out of stock or they will put a defect on your account.. put that the buyer wanted to cancel the order even if is not true, in that way they will not put any defect to the account..

I had 3 months ago 3,80% now i am at 2,20.. took my 3 months to reduce it

How many orders are you getting a day and how many are you cancelling a day out of curiosity?

any suggestions on what i could sell and get loads of orders just to increase my account standard.

Also since my account is bellow standard, do you reckon ebay will increase my selling allowance once i ran out, as i am very close to running out.

They can't put an higher selling limit if your account is below standard, you need to sell every month a good amount of stuff, if you for months sell stuff without having other defects they will give you more time to go above the standars and they will not put any limitation to the account, you have 3-4 months to go again to above standars or you can get a limitation or suspension on the account.

I'm talking about due to the virus. They said they won't put anyone below standard, and I have not seen anything to the contrary yet

Sorry but no - Ebay has far more buyers than sellers by many multiples - otherwise sellers wouldn't be selling anything

What Ebay has is far too many sellers who want to wrote their own rules

Ebay is a huge corporation that does everything it can to protect its brand. It has put in place rules that sellers must abide by in order to be allowed to use their platform

Their playing field, their rules - break their rules and they bite - the responsability for understanding those rules is down to the seller

There is no humanity or understanding in Ebay or any other platform
