I sold a $150 item on ebay and customer paid via credit card. I went to buy shipping on paypal and no transaction? It just occurred to me how was I going to receive my money.

Even if the funds are held the transaction should still show on paypal.
It is possible that the 'customer' sent you a spoofed email showing payment was made.
Does the item show as being paid for on ebay?

Yeah it shows paid on EBAY. I bought shipping through ebay. It was a special order and the guy said he did not have paypal, I told him he could pay on ebay with CC. My question is not the legitimacy of the payment but how do I get paid? Does Ebay deposit to my paypal acct?

Man, that's weird. If that's really how it played out then it must have something to do with managed payments and the fact that eBay is processing their own CC payments now.

In the past even if a buyer paid without a Paypal account, Paypal was the card processor so the transaction would always show up in your Paypal account just like any other transaction. IF there's really no sign of the transaction in your Paypal and you're 100% sure the guy really paid, then eBay must have processed the payment without you being in MP. Your guess is as good as mine for how you would get those funds.

What kind of email did you get from eBay when the guy paid for the order? Perhaps the payment confirmation email you got tells you where the money went?

Are you comfortable contacting eBay and just ask them about this?
