Would changing part of an address (Ex: Use Sedar Rd instead of Cedar rd.) cause any red flags

The street name itself is not likely to cause red flags but the rest of the info (if matching old address) could cause easy linkage - is that what you are worried about?

Is this to avoid getting flagged for using the same address for returns? If so, these "typos" could be an easy fix but not the best one

Yes my current address has a bad account from a family member and I am not sure what to do

any changes to an account info usually will throw a flag.

If you absolutely have to change something, add a 2nd address instead

SaiJin is correct. That's exactly what I do and it works. Set up a second address and then choose this address for shipping so that the return goes back to the second address. Now on cheap items I use the stealth address and just issue the refund in lieu of return shipping. Tell them they can donate it to charity.
