Ebay managed payments program.

Hi guys:

So how is Ebay's managed payments going to work for multiple accounts? It is requiring ssn when I tested it out signing up but never finished. I have 6 ebay accounts and now I'm worried about this.

Just don't sign up for it. Stick with paypal.
Ebay only wants the big sellers for mp.
Small sellers can use paypal.

Okay is this just until 2023 though?

and what do you mean by big seller. Is doing 150k on one account sales considered big or no?

If your doin large volume on one of your ebay accounts
then you will most likely receive a invitation to join mp.
Yes 150k is big.

Some time in the near future, all Ebay US sellers will be on MP,it is also working on UK sellers.
If you get an email and ask you to sign up and you do nothing,it could send more emails ,then finally they will remove Paypal and you do not have a way to accept payment.
If you are lucky, they may keep your listings

This is going to suck for stealth. I don't like the idea of Ebay becoming like Amazon and knowing exactly who we are and knowing if we've been banned before or not being able to easily do stealth accounts. Do you know if EIN and no SSN or no license is required for small ebay stealth accounts with less than 15k of sales a year?

This is actually not true. I have multiple accounts, on 1 of them I am required to sign up for MP. It is a personal account where I sell about once item per month not every month at around $800 to $1100. I have to do it by 07/15

all sellers ,makes no difference how much you sell per month or per year.
Ayden could end up being more than just processing your payments, like Paypal,it could offer you a working capital loan, line of credit ,debit/credit cards

But it requires SSN and is directly linked to Ebay's verification of identity. So Ebay now officially owns every seller as it's slave. Any time they ban or suspend you, you're business is owned. Stealth is now dead unless you have a partner who allows you to use their social.

I wouldn't call it dead. Many times ebay/paypal changes and people call stealth dead. Only to realize that ebay wants to keep our business and we figure a way around it

I would call it dead for the common person with lack of creativeness or resources. People will either need business partners with ssn's or the only other way will be pseudo pseudo slave owned stealth with multiple LLC's owned under same SSN and ID. Don't know if that will work though.

I got the email today where they said new listings can't be created after July 15 unless it's registered. My account is a stealth...they have it listed as a personal account (would guesstimate $7K sales a year, so not big).

It seems they're demanding SSNs for either personal accounts or sole proprietors...I haven't looked into the "business as a legal entity" option. I do have an EIN and have been using that for PayPal...is there a way to give only the EIN? I resist giving the SSN with basically every fiber of my being.

It would serve them right to get a big dropoff in business for doing this (It'd be a great time for a competitor to make a move). Could also hurt with signing up new sellers, and all to try to slowly cut PayPal out.

SSN or ITIN required. NO way out. Only resourceful way seems to be to have a willing participate with SSN or ITIN join your business.
