Ok to create ebay accounts, create paypal later?
 

Hello everyone,

Have a question that I cannot seem to find answered anywhere after several search variations.

Being new here, I've read probably 500+ different threads now and have learned quite a bit. Thursday I'll be buying the ebay stealth guide but until then my wheels are wanting to spin and do something constructive to help myself later down the road.

My question is: Is it wise/unwise to go ahead while waiting to purchase ebay stealth and create a few ebay ID's so they can start maturing. Yes I could wait until thursday, I'm just anxious to get my business going again. Yes I would be adjusting MAC address in router to capture an IP for each seperately as well as seperate windows logins.

Or best to wait 2-3 days and do each tethered together?

You can go ahead and create the ebay accounts. I suggest waiting until you have a verified paypal account to turn those ebay accounts into seller accounts though.

You will get many different answers. Here's my 2 cents especially if you are getting stealth.
I make paypal first. Why? Because when it comes to 'using' ebay, I am reeady to go. No need to worry about the CC, the bank account as that little old paypal account has been sitting aging nicely.
Bet you noticed a lot of posts that I made the ebay account and then when I made the paypal account I had to do.......(different things)
but there was a delay etc etc.
Have paypal ready and verified, make the ebay , link (if you need to do so) and there you are ready to go

I guess I think about it this way.

As a newbie wanting to sell stuff on ebay, I would go and sign up for an ebay account.

Then I would look at what I need in order to get my payments, and realize, oh crap, now I need a paypal account too?

So a day or two later I go and make my paypal account.

Honestly, either way you go, you should be fine.

Thank you for the answers, they are appreciated! I've read here in several places how it's important to let the ebay mature for 1 month or so before selling. Also have read some conflicting info as well. Plus I want to do this right from the start as I lost a hell of alot last week due to paypal and their SS# check

I'm just more than ready to get things in motion! I have 1,000 other questions but will refrain until I get the guide in my hands.
