VPS vs VPN

I really like using VPS (for other non Ebay business) BUT I see trhat many people push VPNS for stealth accounts even though VPS s are so much more convenient time wise and ease wise (I keep info for each account on separate VPS so its impossible to make a mistake!)

IS there really any negatives from using a VPS ..........are they any providers to avoid .......................

@OP, if you are in the UK there are more "normal" IP options to consider such as dongle or cellphone tethering (examples)
