From a seller's point of view, I think the future of ecommerce is not really that bright.
I think in the future we will have to pay for the most organic placement we're getting now for free and it will be like a rat-race.
If the current attempts to hold big tech accountable and break up some companies fail, then I can guarantee you that these companies will become more predatory in their practices.
eBay and Amazon have become like loan sharks in their appetite for money, stealing 30-40% of the total price of a given listing can't be called a "selling fee", it is blatant robbery and they got away with it because nowadays governments are useless whores.
