Default Trying to sell a $1500 computer

Last year I was in the business of selling unlocked iPhones. I sold 20 or so phones and out of those, two of them filed chargebacks claiming they didn't receive the phones. I had signature confirmation tracking and provided that to eBay/PayPal and both times, PayPal paid using their seller protection policy. After this they limited my account because I was "too high" of a risk, even after 10 years of business.

I have a $1500 computer I am trying to sell at the moment. I've tried Craigslist and even placing ads in the newspaper to no avail, but looking on eBay's completed items list (made up an account with completely ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information and didn't verify it) I see the computer could sell for that $1500 on eBay. So basically, I need to use eBay but I'm not sure how.

If I create an eBay account now using ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information, or even if I ask a relative who doesn't have an eBay account for permission to use their name, I'm worried that it's not going to look right - selling a $1500 computer on the same day the account is opened. And I'm worried PayPal will hold the money for 180 days, which absolutely cannot happen. (Basically, I am selling my primary computer so I can upgrade, and the computer I'm going to use after I sell this one, and until I purchase my new one, will be the shared family computer.)

I'm thinking I should maybe purchase an eBay account here but I thought I'd ask for some advice. Thanks in advance!

they will hold the payment until the buyer leaves + feedback. They are not going to limit you for listing a computer on the first day. I have done it numerous times . computers , phones etc... Now the account DOES get limited eventually, and even sooner if you continue to sell high risk items , for large amounts of money. But one listing? nah.. you will be ok...

Just make sure you dont slip and make a mistake when opening the new account... be careful with stealth...

The Stealth Book has everything you need to make your own account if you are new to this, I suggest getting a copy before you make your account, or you could buy an account from someone here if you do not feel comfortable enough to do it yourself.

Don't do anything until you have read more on the forum, please.

Of late, there are far too many users doing just that & getting limited by paypal. Do more homework B4 you commit to this.

^^^^^^^^

In other words they(PayPal) will limit you within 12-36 hours after receiving the payment! If the don't limit you then well when you try to withdraw the funds be prepared for the limitation.

From what I know, you need to let a new account age atleast a month before doing anything (especially that) on the account. You could get an aged account from one of the sellers on here.

Thanks everyone. Luckily I haven't listed it yet. I don't have a PayPal debit card (don't even have a PayPal account!).

Going to read more on it and maybe buy an account. Think if I buy an account and take appropriate precautions (i.e. clearing cookies, changing IP) I'll be OK?
