I had this happen on one of my accounts last month
I refunded the buyer but on ebay it is still showing up as not refunded even after 1 month
Go to Your Orders and select the order you want to cancel.
Select the check box next to each item you want to remove from the order. To cancel the entire order, select all of the items.
Select Cancel checked items when finished.

if you refund by directly going to Paypal,YOU DOnt get your Ebay fees back,also if buyer used a credit card,it could take days before it is back in his cc account,up to 21 days,but usually 7 days
