Help with managed payments address/bank account
 

Hey guys,
So Im required to sign up for managed payments.

Backstory: I have been running the eb acct in my moms name and using my own bank account on Paypal(BOA). I have been renting a private mailbox and that is the address I use on ebay/paypal.

I need to get a bank account for my mom to satisfy MP. I tried Ally but got denied by using the rental box as my mailing AND home address.

Questions:

1.When signing up for MP can ebay see the real HOME address on the bank account?

2. What address do I use when I sign up for MP? Ebay currently has the rental box address on file. The MP application says "residential address". Do I have to give them my real address or will the rental box be OK?

OK so basically I dont want ebay to see my real address from the bank info and if I can keep using the rental box address when applying for MP.

why cant you open a bank account for your mom using her address?
I dont think MP can or care to know the address of the bank account but you do need a real address,not PO Box for MP

Ebay can not see the real address you supply to the bank when opening the account. The most the bank can give them is if the name on the incoming deposit matches the name of the account holder. A major bank like BOA doesn't care about name matching anyways.

I plan on opening a bank account for my mom. My question is can I keep using the rental box address thats currently on my ebay?

I thought the name on the bank account had to match the ebay registered name? Im currently using my own BOA account on Paypal

Cardfelon is referring to mismatched incoming deposits,not the name on the bank account.
You can go t o Ebay and find out the requirements for MP ,I recall seeing no Po box or mail box,it has to be a physical residential address and the name of the bank account you use has to match the name of the MP account you are applying

Ya I cant seem to find something that says PO boxes or private mailboxes aren't allowed. Where you find that?
