Question about VA`s buying ebay stuff

Hello,

Can someone please help me with a problem?
If you hire a VA to shop and buy all of the products that are sold on your dropshipping store. How do you do it do you give him/her your credit card details and they go on amazon or someplace else and they buy the stuff? Do you just trust them to do that? How do you know they won`t buy something for 400$ and then never hear from them ever again?
Thank you

In other words how do you protect yourself from the for stealing your details or money?

Can't you just give them prepaid cards? I have VAs that i can really trust tho, so i gave them my credit card details. But we can never know what will happen.
Money is the root of all evil :)

Prepaid cards. You mean like pre-paid phone cards. You buy something like a Gift Card that is 1000$ for example and they use that gift card and part of it to buy from Amazon or someplace else?
Can you give me an example of a Prepaid card that is available on Tesco Wall-Mart all over the place?

My VAs have access to my debit cards, no issues at all. Recruit properly and find someone you trust, there really is no way around it/

By access you mean the numbers in the front of the card with your name. And the 3 numbers in back that let you do an online purchase? What if they do a bad job and mix orders up. Rules say you don`t pay them as they were stupid.

Very difficult indeed - takes some "legwork" and "investigation" on your part

Yeah, so I opened a separate business current account with cashplus and I just top it up using the paypal balance. My VAs are properly trained so rarely make a mistake, and if they do that's part and parcel of being a human. Use google suite spreadsheets to track and keep orders organized. I had the exact same concerns as you believe me, and its a decision you have to make yourself whether you want to hire a VA. My biggest suggestion would be not to rush the recruitment process, have a 3 or 4 step process, interview as many as you can and use trusted sites such as onlinejobs.ph. Train them properly, lots of videos and easy to follow documents. If you are hiring from the Philippines, chances are they will be smarter and more qualified then us so if you are worried about mistakes, then just make sure you are eliminating as many risks as you can.

VAs from India and PH can work for as little as $2 an hour and that is a good honest wage for them, I am from the UK so I am not sure of the minimum wage in the US but profit margins are already pretty low due to saturation on ebay so for me personally, it wouldnt even be worth selling on eBay if I were to hire from the US or UK (I have 4 VAs working for me and will eventually need 10).

In terms of the language, you can make fluent English a requirement on the job post. My VAs have a better vocabulary then me and English is my only language.

minimum wage means nothing if you find a neighbor kid or relative who would accept cash.
many are happy to get paid in cash

Anybody can make a mistake. But If I pay them 200$ a month and they screw up a 100$ order. What am I suppose to do to pay it out my own pocket? NO. it`s their mistake they should pay for it. After all, it`s an easy job. If you want to pay for VA`s mistakes that`s on you but not on me. I don`t consider myself a genius but I ain`t stupid.

Please don't hire VAs. That mentality is seriously messed up, and you'll never build a loyal and committed team like that.

You are saying that I should pay the VA`s mistake?

If you're going to use a VA to use your ebay account, I find that giving that VA your fresh dedicated VPN will help a lot btw.
