Anyone having unusual trouble with creating Ebay stealth lately?
 

So I just got my account suspended 7 hours after first listing.

Here's my method of creation.

Create on data center IP
new name, new email, new paypal,
wait 7 days and lookup stuff on ebay, and wishlist,
register as seller with non voip phone,
wait 4 days then list first item, 1 item 16 dollar stuffed bear,
then I got suspended.

I'm changing to residential IP for creation. Has anyone else had this issue with creating stealth with data center or is ebay harder to create accounts on now a days.

*fresh real sim number
*clean install of chrome
*real address
*confirmed paypal with vcc
*details all matching

blocked after first listing. what gives

Those suspensions are usually very easily reversed.
Contact ebay by chat and you can get those accts reinstated.

I have a theory regarding this situation. When coronavirus arrived many people lost their jobs, so most of them had to figure how to get a new income. They registered on eb site and started selling stuff. Scammers saw a great opportunity luring buyers and collecting money. So eb set new security measures for new accounts. It seems eb need you to confirm your identity and address before allow you to establish your business.

A couple of months ago i got suspended, 2 accounts were suspended.Both were legit accounts (i didn't know anything about stealth). One of those accounts was reinstated after sending ID and bill proof. I haven't used it since then. Both were suspended after first listing. I created both accounts and listed first items few minutes later. One was suspended 2 hours later and other was suspended 12 hours later.

they don't even give you the chance to confirm such info.

honestly i dont think ipburger residential ip really did anything considering it switched on me 3 times! and kept getting denial error ( this was my hope that my mobile data ip was the issue)

I forgot to include I'm doing seperate user accounts. Are you doing the same. Also are you waiting 7 days of browsing on ebay, then 7 days or so more after you get selling ability to list.

I think its safe to say that eBay has made some significant changes to creating new accounts.
Looks like lot of people experiencing the same issues, myself included. It would seem that eBay is now gathering ID's and proof of residence before allowing sellers to sell (I can't blame them, but who wants to upload a passport ID to sell a bloody stuffed teddy bear?)

No doubt some new stealth accounts are created poorly, or making mistakes along the set-up process, but for those that have been doing this for years and following the same steps, things for sure have changed.

Back in the spring i created a new account, as soon as i listed an item, a simple door molding for a Chevrolet, eBay suspended my account. I was shocked, so i messaged them and they asked me to upload my ID and proof of residence, i sent in the docs and the account was reinstated. 6 months later it was suspended again with no chance of appeal.

Personal opinion, eBay is only allowing new sellers on the site that provide proof of ID and residence, all others are going to be banned. I've attempted to create 5 new accounts in the past 2 days, the 1st is good to list with the other 4 instant suspensions.

I'm going to list a new part for a ford truck today, something completely obscure and non Vero and see what happens, I fully expect the ban hammer to come down in the next 12 hours, i will report back.

I'm using a real residence address but do you think that I should make sure the stealth name is one that is actually linked by public record to a certain address, say on whitepages? I would never have thought that they'd look that much into it if so.

No wonder those ebay accounts seller had stopped selling and responding to anyone but please do let us know op that is it suspending even in residential ip.Thanks in advance

So whenever I make accounts doing everything with stealth correctly I keep getting this message after 2 weeks of waiting to list first non risky item.

"We have reviewed the activity we have seen connected to your account. As a result, your account has been suspended because we believe this activity presents a risk to our eBay community. We do not make this decision lightly. Building a trusted marketplace where people around the world can buy and sell safely is our first priority.

This suspension is permanent and means that you will not be able to participate in any buying or selling activities on eBay. In addition, any other accounts that you own, or that are associated with this account, will also be suspended.

We regret the frustration or inconvenience this may cause you. However, there is no appeal for this decision"

I'm incredibly shattered by this. This is putting a toll on my business. I can't for the life of me get back on Ebay and I've had no problem 2 years ago creating stealth accounts.

all this is of course connected to managed payments , it looks like the idea is to make extended checks on the site to prevent "risky" people from getting in since ebay will have more risks managing payments. and the problem here is that it is done by amateurs who suspend people through bots and then ask their philippino employees to decide directly on the phone within a couple of minutes who can be reinstated. at least they could have copied the amazon system where all sellers need to provide documents and possibly additional information and only then could they be indefinitely suspended or be allowed to sell. here on ebay we see suspensions without any real foundation except for checks of ip address and some other features , I guess they read a lot of threads on aspkin and figured this would be a solution
