Side effects from issuing refunds?!!

What are the possible negative effects of issuing buyers a refund via clicking on "Issue refund"?

I issued a few already and nothing appeared under "defects" yet, so I guess it is not counting as a cancelled transaction.

Do you think issuing refunds this way will have a negative impact on the account?

6 months ago that actually counted eventually. I had a friend do this all the time and the defect didn't update until 48 hours later if I recall.

Nowadays I don't know since I rarely issue refunds, like VERY rarely.

I am fairly certain that this stat is tracked by eb - there is quite likely a threshold which would flag the account.

I also very rarely have to issue refunds.
