When printing labels, ebay is defaulting the shipping to priority mail
 

Just noticed this a few days ago. Instead of defaulting to the buyers choice, it automatically sets it to priority mail, and requires you to click OFF of it.

Man, ebay really does love requiring sellers to go out of their way to not spend more money. When you're doing shipping quickly, you're expecting the shipping label to be exactly what the buyer chose, or what you offered. Even if you don't offer priority mail, ebay still defaults to it. International shipments too.

This, on top of the fact that they hide shipping options at checkout, in order to not give the buyer too many options. So I keep having buyers complain they can't choose a faster option, because it literally doesn't exist.

Ebay is such an amazingly scummy company.

I also noticed the defaulting to priority. However in my case that's only happening when I print an individual label. When I use the bulk shipping option it is correctly defaulting to the buyer's choice.

Looks like they fixed it for domestic first class postage. It does it to fedex still, switching it to overnight. As well as switching international. What does ebay care. Their buyers are happier. Faster shipping for the same price.
