Trouble mobile tethering
 

Every time I try to connect my hotspot with my laptop it takes 5-10 mins for my iphone hotspot to be seen on the laptop wifi, I'm not sure why this takes so long. I have to turn on/off my hotspot multiple times and wait for my hotspot to appear on the laptop wifi.

I have my hotspot settings to Wifi connection. Anyone know a solution to get an instant connection with my iPhone hotspot?

What kind of laptop? Model and year?

Umm... that could be your laptop. Have you tried it on your PC and see if it connects faster?

Not sure what the problem is, my iPhone is running the latest update along with my windows laptop. I have tried other laptops as well and still takes a long time for my iPhone to appear on the laptop wifi connection. I have to reset or turn on/off the personal hotspot multiple times and even then there is a slight chance it connects. My mobile data is good, not sure what the problem is, could be I have to change some setting on my laptop but no luck.

I had a similar issue with an Iphone 4s and it was necessary to change wifi antenna.

Sometimes wifi hotspots can be finicky, always airplane and try again, same with laptop/pc
