Taking over a deceased persons ebay/paypal account
 

Friend of a friend passed away recently and I am purchasing his ecommerce business. The executor of his estate is willing to include his ebay/paypal accounts (including the email account and phone number)

What would be the best way to proceed with this?

This is my current plan - anyone want to point out what issues I am overlooking here?

Ebay

1. Add secondary user with my sisters information, leaving the owners information on the account.
OR
2. Just slowly change the information on the main account to my sisters information (leaning towards this angle)

Paypal
1. Change from personal account to business account
2. Add LLC information (EIN/address)
3. Add my sisters information

OR, I have another sibling that can open a fresh Paypal Business account for me (I provide the EIN)

Anyone have thoughts/advice on how to best proceed here?

Upgrade to business and change to new business.

Account still used Paypal? Sooner or later it will end up being on managed payments if you have any sales volume at all.

cut that crap out,his SSN would be all over the place and IRS could seize what is in his Paypal account if he owes taxes.

just buy his inventory and build your own business
