I am going to be using a friends ebay account as he will be able to convert to MP so its a good long term option
My question is this; What is the best way to proceed with the account?
DETAILS
10-12 YEARS OLD
100-250 feedbacks - 100% FB
Personal account
Unsure of monthly limits
He made a NEW personal PayPal (all his name still and verified it as normal) and connected this to ebay.
I will buy a fresh ID address from IPburger and run the account as my own as a new user on my PC How quickly can I list items? Do I still need to sell slowly like 1-2 a week and increase? Or can I just list and sell 10-25-100 items a week?
Also, depending what the limits are on the account and your answers to the above questions, when should I change the account from personal to business?
Thank you for your help |

Why did he need to create a new PP?
The only information you are changing is the IP address and using a new user account, correct? |

I think he just created a new PP because he wanted to keep using the one he had
Yes, I’ll be using different IP and user my end so it doesn’t link to my old suspended account
Everything is then in his name |

Once you have everything switched over just do some general browsing for a couple days. Log into the ebay account and browse for a couple days maybe place some bids on some stuff that there's no way in hell you're going to win. Start listing slooow.
I personally sell used Blurays (at a loss) as my first items on a new account. List one. Couple days later list a couple more and so on. Never list more than 10 in any given week. I wait until I have 50 individual sales and then I start selling to make money.
Takes 6 weeks or so but I've done this on 4 different accounts now without a problem. |
| eBay1234567 | 11-10-2020 08:01 AM | Re: Using Friends 10 Year old account - best way to proceed, please help Ok, I bought a load of love film DVD's last year in bulk (about 2000) so I can use these then
So, list one item on Monday (auction or Buy in now?) Can I just auction for 99p start, 7 days because it almost guarantees the sale? Or is BIN below market rate the best option
list 2 more on Wednesday
List 2 More Saturday
Week 1 Complete
List 3 Monday
List 2 Thursday
List 3 Sunday
Week 2 Complete
List 3 Monday
List 2 Wednesday
List 3 Saturday
Week 3 Complete
Something like this???
I have some more stealth accounts - can I list the love film DVD's on the other accounts at the same time? (not the same Title of course) but the niche of love film? Because the pictures are on the same surface etc? Could this link or am I overthinking?
And so the aim is 50 sales in 6 weeks (give or take)
Something like
Week 1 = 3 Sales
Week 2 = 5 Sales
Week 3 = 8 Sales
Week 4 - 12 Sales
Week 5 - 12 Sales
Week 6 - 15 Sales
Something like above? Not that we can determine how quickly an item sells but you know |

Some people are going to say the pictures are going to link your accounts, but I've built up two accounts at the same time using pictures taken in the same spot without a problem.
Rest of your plan looks good. The fact that you're actually putting thought into this and built out a time table already puts you way above 99% of the people on this forum. |

My advice to you would be to set the account up little by little, but use a stealth account to practice with.
You REALLY don't want to mess this awesome account up with rookie mistakes. Put it in the back burner |
| eBay1234567 | 11-10-2020 04:06 PM | Re: Using Friends 10 Year old account - best way to proceed, please help Good that I am above that 99% - trouble is, I am always in that 1% that gets caught regardless hahaha
But ok, ill stick to the time table above. Thank you
I have 3/4 stealth accounts that are brand new.
One other question to you both, if I may
The other new stealth accounts are going into managed payments January 18 and I haven't even built up these accounts yet, I wasn't sure if it was worth building them up until I found out the result of MP
But, maybe I will build up two of these accounts first. Even if they get rejected at MP, I can use them as XP and then build up my friends account with a (somewhat) proven formula in January
I guess its tuna and sweetcorn for the rest of the year and caviar will have to wait until late 2021 haha
Thank you both |

If you ever build up a new account, remove the EXIF data from the photos.
It will remove all data like when the photo was taken, time, and other data and will only show the resolution and image size
So ebay won't be able to link from the photos as there is no data behind them :D |
