Strange situation with eBay & MC113
 

Ok, so in all honesty I've never and don't need any stealth accounts but this might be best place to understand what's happening.

Personal eBay account was limited as had some issues with fulfilling orders during lockdown but removed my listings, cleared any concerns so had no open cases anywhere and then they re-instated it so still have 200 items or £2000 a month limit, listed 1 or 2 items and registered for Managed payments so thought was back to normal just a case of working on scores.

Have another business with a different name so I innocently clicked open business account and set one up that's separate to my buying and personal selling account; within 1 day I got the MC113 account suspended and any linked accounts would also be the same..

As far as i'm aware there were no restrictions on me doing this and here I am a week later and my original account which has NEVER been banned is still working fine, listing and carrying on as normal so at a complete loss, I don't want to message eBay and ask.

Main reason I care is that run a successful business (Shopify, Depop and our own warehouse) with a partner that has been using Paypal and turning over a considerable amount for years with no issues but that Paypal was used when setting up the now banned eBay as we wanted to open an eBay store as an extra revenue stream. I know the 2 companies are linked but surely if ZERO of income has come from eBay it wouldn't lead to a ban there as well.

As we stand i've just had the new account banned but everything else is carrying on as normal.

do these:

1. Read the stealth guide
2. create 2 separate buying and selling accounts.

Thanks but it's not really what I asked.. I don't have any banned accounts other than one I created and have active eBay accounts and paypal trading on a proper limited company with accounts, don't need to master stealth as im carrying on as normal with legitimate details

I don't sell high risk items, absolutely no VERO, i'm not trying to make a quick buck on stealth accounts

My query was really how come the created account got banned when I had absolutely no restrictions on my account? I'm figuring it might have just been a auto message because I can't open new accounts but my account activity on original is completely fine.

Since the ban i've signed up for managed payments on my other account with same name, bank details as the banned one and all was verified and accepted

it does not matter whether zero or plus income ,they ban the account .

I don’t sell anything on eBay or least not for last few months since my account got its limitations removed as was building my Scores back up. I have an account that’s open, running fine since 2013 it’s my personal account. PayPal the same, never ever been limited and open since 2010 with 99.9% of sales coming from
My physical store, shopify and invoices for wholesale at our warehouse. NEVER had it linked to an eBay as we have never sold on the platform

What I wanted to do was open a business account so could have another platform.. so I did that and it got the MC113 on the new one but my other Personal account is completely fine and it doesn’t make any sense.

I know I wasn’t allowed to open one whilst restrictions were ongoing but once it was reinstated and had just been sat a couple months I presumed would be fine, thinking perhaps that’s the reason? Maybe they’ve not banned original as it’s exactly functioning as it should just not allowed another account until it’s been a set period?

I’ve not tried to hide or stealth at all. Same address, name (business name different), same PayPal and using same computer on same internet so isn’t like I would be hard to find if they wanted to ban me

Well thought would be best to explain in more detail so people could get a grasp as sometimes can be complex; amount of posts I see on here with people
Asking OP more questions.

It's you that is lacking the knowledge of what is going on in the eBay world.

Stealth AND original accounts are susceptible to suspension and the main reason this forum existed 10+ years ago was because a lot of people were banned for unreasonable and bogus reasons.

So that being said, when people in here tell you to "master stealth" it's because once you get it you'll see more and more what the likeliness of the reasons are, preventing it from happening etc.

We want to help you, but you can't expect an answer that you want all the time.

also as much as you wrote, there really isn't that much detail in your post that tells us "oh, this is the issue"./
