| | What if unlinking PayPal from eBay? Hello, I am just an ebay seller, is eBay "with PayPal" yet?, I mean:
Does PayPal shares the SSN or any personal docs I must upload once reaching paypal limits?
If that's the case what about unlinking my eBay seller account before uploading anything to PayPal?
What's the difference between having your ebay-paypal linked and not linked (just with the PayPal email adress)?
Thank you for your help |

What are you trying to do? |
Re: What if unlinking PayPal from eBay? The above is not true, you do not need to link the two to sell. |

Re: What if unlinking PayPal from eBay? I say it because if I am suspended on eBay I could always come back with a new ebay account when I opt in managed payments but if eBay already has my social number because I uploaded verification docs to PayPal ...
Anybody having certains about this matter?
What would be your advice please?
Thank you ... |

What are you trying to do? | You agree a contract for selling, of course, but after a few months I can unlink the PayPal account and keep selling. Of course thev PayPal eMail remains on eBay's seller account so I can sell and pay eBay fees
Is there any difference? |

Re: What if unlinking PayPal from eBay? So if I upload the verification docs to PayPal, what about eBay?, will they have my ID card number (=SSN) because I uploaded verification docs to PayPal ...
Anybody could help please?
Any advice?, link/unlink?, does it matter?
Thank you ... |
| HurricaneHuntr | 11-17-2020 11:50 AM | Re: What if unlinking PayPal from eBay? I am not sure what you're asking, you don't need to link your Paypal to ebay. You can't unlink them once you do.. If you're asking if they share EIN etc... i'd say at this point no, because of people opening managed payments with old suspended information, ebay and adyen aren't even sharing data. |
Re: What if unlinking PayPal from eBay? Are you 100% sure that eBay and Paypal do not share EIN, Personal ID Card Numbers, etc ...?
It's very important for me knowing it ...
Thank you so much for your help |

Thank you so much for your help | Nobody can be 100% sure, i only once had them link it based on a bank account being the same. But this was once, a long time ago.
While they work together, they are farther apart than they once were as now different companies. |

Thank you so much for your help | Safer to assume that they do share in my opinion... |
Re: What if unlinking PayPal from eBay? So anybody could 100% confirm that eBay and Paypal do not share EIN, Personal ID Card Numbers, etc, ... please?
It's very important ...
Thank you very much in advance for your help |

Thank you very much in advance for your help | I think if Paypal readily shared suspended EIN and tax id's to ebay. You'd have a whole lot of managed payment sellers suspended using legit information. |

What are you trying to do? | But as a payment method you can always use a debit card or even a bank account, right?.
I'm just trying to use a new PayPal account for a fantastic eBay account I've been selling with.
This new Paypal contains my real information so that I can verify legitimate documents when I reach "the $2500 limit".
Maybe I could close the stealth Paypal> change the eMail address that I am putting in the eBay listings to the eMail of the new Paypal account> pay the eBay fees with debit card or bank account and not with the new one Paypal account. |
| gogo_bn | 12-11-2020 09:50 AM | Re: What if unlinking PayPal from eBay? Hello,
My PP got permanently limited. So I created new one with completely new information and going to use it for the same EB account. This time I would not link it to the ebay and going to pay my invoices by card. So yesterday I've got first sale and will stop for couple of days to wait for possible suspension on the new PP.
What is your opinion and had someone done it share some experince?
