gift card balance vanished.
 

hello house.
i have loaded a few ebay gift cards as well ordered/bought items thereof as well,
i just logged in to check my account and use gift card balance to make another purchase when i got the message "We ran into a problem. Please try again later."
i tried a few minutes later and couldn't view/see my gift card balances on my check out page, where it usually appears.
the only difference between then and when it happened was that i made offer for some items.

note: i am not sure if i placed this in the right section.

physical cards bought from store,
i bought them from someone.

i initially bought some items on it to redeem it. it was while i logged in later that it disappeared.

Is the source reliable? Possibly that the person who supplied the cards also had the card info and took funds? I'm just thinking out loud

Once you redeem an Ebay Gift Card to your Ebay's account, the balance of the card will be loaded to your ebay's account. Only that account can use that balance, just like amazon gift card. Other ebay's account can not redeem or transfer that card.

Did you buy them from a store or from a person that says they bought them in a store?

the seller may have opened a credit card dispute on those cards, getting his money back and getting money from the sale of the cards to you
