Cannot change the registered country on my ebay account
 

The country or region is not selectable (grey).
It says "To edit your country or region, you need to contact eBay Customer Support.".

I have contacted ebay more than 10 times (both live & phone) and they dunno why? Always teach me how to change but it does not work at all.

Any ideas?

Called ebay many times but they cannot find a way to change it.

one ebay rep told me sometime that they sometimes allow to change country but in general they do not like people changing country from higher risk to lower risk

Actually, the country has been changed to the UK. But the business address is still on France and ebay cannot find a way to change it.

the point is that the ebay system sees higher risk and lower risk countries , it may prohibit changing from higher risk to lower risk. if business address was not changed this means the account is still in france , if you start listing on ebay uk with uk as item location you will be blocked until you register with HMRC for VAT using french address or ebay would need to change the address to UK

what do you mean by - "the country" has been changed - to the UK

If you couldn't change the business address i.o.w. your account details still say you are in france, what díd you change?

And what was the official ebay URL on which you initially registered this account?

probably they allowed to change the location of the owner but not of the actual business which is why the business remains where it is as far as the legal obligations are concerned

Why not just use a UK account? Seems like eBay dont want you to change your country they just dont want to outright tell you

You cannot change the country of your Ebay account,you need to open a new Ebay account in the new country
