Refunded because item not received but was received?
 

Hi all. I sold an item 90£. And a buyer said they didn't receive this. They were very quick to the point after 4days they were where is my item. By 10 days I had refunded them as I was sure it wasn't going to show up. I opened a not delivered case with royal mail but have received a letter stating it was delivered and there is a signature and date it was delivered. . Buyer isn't responding to my messages. Can I get my money back from eBay?? Royal mail??. Help is always appreciated.

It is incredibly unlikely that the buyer is going to repay and if Royal mail have proof of delivery they are also not going to give you any compensation I’m afraid. Did you not have online tracking for the item when it was posted?

You can try sending him a letter on official stationary asking him to pay and include tracking and note from Royal mail.
I may even call him and tell him you like to file a police report as there is theft in your building.

Ebay would no be involved as it is you who did the refund

you can call and said you just talk to the local police to file a report and they ask who is the person in his household you should give to the police when they come and investigate,would he or someone in his family be available to co-operate with the police.
