new pc issue
 

Hi, so i am upgrading from my old laptop to a new laptop.

How would i go about transferring all stealth accounts to my new laptop safely?? I don't want to lose any accounts :(

Does anyone have an experience on this issue?

Are those accounts in a virtual machine or another app?

The way I did it 2 years back - and this worked fine for me - was to created new user accounts on the new computer, each account assigned to an old stealth account, log onto eb and pp and browse for a week, some bidding etc and then fire up sales again.

I don't do a lot of volume mind you - and it worked alright.

There are other posts about transferring cookies methods, etc.

Given that old issues with drivers etc are long gone, you could clone your hard drive and transfer it across.

That said, one of the benefits of a new PC is you can start afresh and merely transfer across what is still current and used, getting rid of any issues and deadwood. Would I clone, no, but it's an option.

This is why I moved over to VMware, it's a doddle to transfer accounts across when I decide to upgrade my machine.
