VERO Question

Is it VERO to sell a stock photo that isn't taken by yourself... but no-one can prove it wasn't taken by yourself???

I have a competitor stealing ALL of my listings and using images from google search that aren't his. How can I have his listings removed? I assume I would need to make sure I first remove my google search images hehe....

Re: VERO Question

You aren't supposed to be using stock photos, that can be seen as copyright infringement.

if it's yours and you took it yourself, then you need to show them your previous listings that's older and show them.

In photos that I take there'll always be a watermark which has my eBay ID. Hard to see but that's how I tag photo thieves.

Re: VERO Question

I actually contacted them about it and they said they could see it was my photo but I had to be a VERO registered in order to have the photo removed.
From my research Ebay no longer cares if a seller steals another sellers photos.
So I ask myself, what is the point in having own original photo in listing? Why not use stock photos stolen off the internet if no-one really cares?!

Totally wrong, if you are a brand owner and have copyrighted images then you can ask eBay to remove the image and give the seller a VERO strike on their metrics and remove that listing.

If your images are not copyrighted then eBay has ownership when uploaded as they have been given them and anybody can use them in their listings.
