Can anyone help me out?
 

I recently sold a digital item (well, i've sold 1000s of them) Recently sold one to a buyer that claimed he didn't receive it, he opened a case and ebay ruled in his favour as I didn't supply a tracking number.

To add insult to injury, he proceeded to neg me.

I don't care about the money, its £1.29.

What I care about is the neg.

So it made me look into his ebay account. What do I find? I find him selling the same product!!! Only thing is, he's sold only 10 of them.

So this is a competitor that has done this out of spite.

Who can help me damage this idiot? buy his ones, claim not received and leave neg? He's selling for 1.99.

Absolutely shocked at the audacity of some people!!

I work 6 days a week as a key worker throughout the entire pandemic and I've been done over 5 or 6 times on ebay this year. Terrible.

Contact ebay through live support. Explain they sell the exact same product. Also add in you're a 100% positive seller and have sold many without issues. They will remove the neg, and if you need further help, PM me I will give you a full run-down.

Unfortunately, I've tried that. They said they no longer get involved with issues like that. They gave me a link where I can ask them to remove the feedback. I've submitted it.

Regardless of all this. I think this scammer deserves payback.

Keep trying different ebay representatives. One of them should help you in removing it. It just depends on who you get

Is this where you have to get us or Irish support? Because the Phillipines support doesn't really do anything to help anyone.

Try call and get the Irish support, but you could just bite back at them yourself ;)

I ended up spending hours and spoke to 6 different people before I finally made up another story as to why it needs to be deleted. Luckily, the persistence pulled off this time and I got it removed. Wasn't easy.

Revenge will soon be initiated.:pound:

P.S ebay did NOT care that this buyer is selling the exact same item as me. They didn't seem to understand or care that he was abusing the system to sabotage his big competitors account. Well, i wont be dumb to sabotage his account using my selling account. :bounce:

I believe there is a vendor in the “account services” section that helps remove negative feedback if you’re having issues doing it yourself

When this happened to me i contacted the buyer and told them if they dont remove the neg i will then get all family and friends to buy his stock and all of them will leave neg feedback on his account. Ask him is it worth leaving the neg on your account and risk him getting an even worse account :), worked a treat :hs:

This happens all the time on the competitive side, sadly.

Not really that shocking.

Good luck on getting the frustration out - whether on that seller or other uses of the energy

That is called feedback extortion though. If you went ahead and did that, the guy could show ebay all the messages and he'd 100% get them removed. Im going to be doing it on the sly using my other accounts that aren't linked to the account he bought from.

I am more shocked that ebay failed to take action immediately on the competitor. I kept explaining to them that the buyer clearly bought my item to sabotage my account with a negative feedback as he's selling the exact same item. I gave them my and his item numbers.

Ebay weren't bothered in the slightest.

Its getting really frustrating now.

I wouldnt of actually done it, it was the thought of me doing it to him that changed his mind. Was just giving my opinion is all.

So this buyer is extremely crafty. I planned to purchase one from his account and do the same dirty he did on me with a negative feedback but, it turns out that I cannot open a return request or even open a request stating the item hasn't arrived.

I am faced with this message:

"This item isn't covered by ebay money back guarantee"

bla bla bla "contact the seller to sort it out"

Wow?
