| Heshl | 12-30-2020 04:37 PM | PlayStation 5 I’m trying to list the PlayStation 5 and getting some error that there’s a limit to list PS5 on unverified account...
It’s a new account and no sales or feedback yet, is this why it’s unverified?
Anyway around this restriction? |
| ebaywanton | 12-30-2020 06:25 PM | Re: PlayStation 5 Listing a PS5 on a fresh account? That's a little silly lol
You're opening yourself to either being banned or scammed since the account has 0 feedback. |
Re: PlayStation 5 There's a limit because they don't want people trying to list a ****load and not actually have the product on hand. |
| samspalace | 12-30-2020 07:33 PM | Re: PlayStation 5 If you had an unlimited eBay account you could list a PlayStation 5 no problems at all with 0 seller feedback. |

| HurricaneHuntr | 12-30-2020 08:15 PM | Re: PlayStation 5 The only way around this, is to list it in an alternative fashion. Play with the title until it lets you list it. You very well may need to just say Playstation. and then later put the #5 as a keyword. etc.. may get less visibility, but it's how i sold my x box series x units as presales |

Anyway around this restriction? | It's so dangerous to sell a PS5 in general.
Why not try local sales like craigslist or so? |
| Speeder33 | 12-31-2020 01:00 AM | Re: PlayStation 5 Too many people trying this now, I've received a few messages from people wanting to sell ps5s on new accounts
which is exactly why ebay blocks it |

I must piss people off when i tell them, only really scammers care about no 21 day hold. But, i do get the cash flow aspect of it. I was once paycheck to paycheck. |
| samspalace | 12-31-2020 03:29 PM | Re: PlayStation 5 I don’t know why a lot of my comments keep getting removed on this forum as they are valid and help people struggling to get back on eBay.
We have this op here who is struggling to sell a PlayStation 5 and I know how he can sell a PlayStation 5 on a new account but for some reason my comment gets removed. I know a lot about eBay not everything but a lot and would really appreciate the mods not removing my comments as I only offer good value here. Thank you and happy new year. |
| JamesNorth101 | 12-31-2020 04:23 PM | Re: PlayStation 5 One comment got removed in which you pretty much just repeated the last thing you said near enough word for word.
I will reply to it in the same way I replied to your last comment saying the exact same incorrect information
'Selling limits are not related to the issue the poster is facing it is a category limitation that he has got on his new account which prohibits high risk items like PlayStation 5s from being listed without a good track record'
Having an eBay without selling limits will not fix that. |

Why not try local sales like craigslist or so? | People selling PS5 and Xbox Series X have been getting Robbed from Craigslist, and other websites. |

That doesn't happen frequently, if you're worried, bring a few friends with you and take the cash first before taking the PS5 out of the car |

Having an eBay without selling limits will not fix that. | If you have an unlimited selling account you don’t have any category limitation issues I should know as i have an unlimited selling account and it was 0 feedback and I could list in any category I wanted to.
New PayPal which was new linked to the account had no 21 day holds no limits nothing because once you have an unlimited seller account if it’s 0 feedback or 100000 feedback you have no category limitations on the account which proved my point op would be able to list a PlayStation 5 on a new unlimited account with no issues. |

It seams to be a category/item limitation not a selling limitation like others mentioned.
Have you actually tried to list a PS5 on your own unlimited account and it passed? |
| JamesNorth101 | 12-31-2020 05:47 PM | Re: PlayStation 5 Things like PS5/Xbox X/new iPhone have their own category limits
Even long standing sellers can sometimes only list 1 or 2.
eBay has had that policy for years |

Have you actually tried to list a PS5 on your own unlimited account and it passed? | No but I have listed expensive items in “risky categories” as people quote and have no issues. I don’t have a PS5 to sell or list but If I did have a PS5 to list I know it will list with no issues it’s only what £500 it’s nothing really.
But reason I know this is I’ve seen tested unlimited accounts list a set of branded headphones for $200,000 on a 1 day old eBay account just to see if it would list for that much and guess what it listed.
I’m sorry to hear your having issues with trying to list it.
I really want to go and get a PS5 and just list it now I’ll check them on eBay after I’ve wrote this and see how other sellers are getting on as I’m pretty sure a lot of sellers would be selling this item no problem at all but I’ll check now. |
| samspalace | 12-31-2020 06:06 PM | Re: PlayStation 5 Just checked on eBay uk and loads of items are up for sale selling PlayStation 5s. So I’m a million percent confident I could list one and have no issues.
What’s your set up on your account if you don’t mind me asking? |

If your fully verified and are above standard then you wouldnt have the issue of listing a PS5 or if you used a new account it wouldn’t allow you to list it either.
Bottom line is you need to be fully verified, above standard and have an unlimited account and you can list pretty much what you want then. |

What else can i do to be fully verified? |

What else can i do to be fully verified? | In the U.K. to be fully verified you need to confirm your phone number and email on registration.
For PayPal you need to confirm your bank account by accepting 2 small deposits sent to your bank and putting them into PayPal when they arrive. Linking PayPal to eBay and setting invoices to be paid through debit card or PayPal.
This is why you can’t list a PS5 on your account because you havn’t fully verified your account. |

But yes I can list anything as it will go through no problems at all. |
| Tryingtofix | 03-15-2021 07:51 PM | Re: PlayStation 5 this is weird because I just had my account mc011 and then indefinitely banned. I had a mc011 in Novemeber and it was due to 1/50 of my items having no tracking, that got fixed, and now I got hit with this.
I must have sold about 20+ PS5s via ebay since November alongside Xs, account made in 2009 (personal), paypal and ebay verified, 300+ feedback, and consistent sales so was shocked to see that suspension. But I think now stealth will be the way forward |
