Safe first listing - after few days account suspended?
 

Hello all,

At 21,december I created new stealth account (New IP, Phone nr, new user on Computer etc.)
At 2 January created my first listing.
At 3 January was able to find my listing on search.
And did not do anything with my account.
Today, received email that my ebay account has been suspended perm.
First time this happen, because 1 listing was same category I use for 1 year and never got suspended after listing that category item.

Usually, I create first listing, when I am able to find my listing on search I know I passed first verification and after few days I start slowly selling, but now what is interesting that after 3-4 days without any of my actions got suspension.

Maybe you can contact them and ask why they suspended you......

Were the items risky? Usually risky items do that, suspend after first sale.

If all your personal details and IP are watertight my guess would be your 'ship from' location is not the same as your registered address? Is it?

As mentioned above, have you asked them why, that the first thing I'd do.

Hmm did not though about this, need to check this.

Will call them later and ask what is the reason of suspension

they wont tell you the reason for suspension but you can try is bait them. And ask them that you might have an old ebay account from years ago and did not pay any fees and want to pay today. I do this all the time and the ebay agent tells me the exact username linked to my account. When they tell you that, then you know you fked up somewhere along the line.

Do you actually think it's the ship from location that can screw it up? I live in a small city here in the bay area say, 60000, I ship from here but I have accounts registered as far as Sacramento, CA.

did you remove EXIF from your pictures? do you use a residential ip?

I suspect OP isn't even shipping from the same country never mind the same state.

Of course , it's the finer deeper details I'm interested in, such as shipping from locations. They're really going down under if they're monitoring cities where you ship from, even cities close by.

I can only speak for European experience but I do not believe location within your own country matters.

It is quite reasonable and quite common, for logistical and distribution needs, for a seller to have several locations.

Operating via Limited Companies in the UK, my 'ship from' location is never the same as my registered address but they are always the same country.

I am quite happy, as I suspect ebay are, to state my registered office as London but my 'ship from' address to be, say, Manchester. IMO all they want to know the latter for is to generate accurate postage labels, delivery times and ensure VAT/tax compliance. They're happy, the buyer is happy, job done.

As we know, when a new seller sets up a UK or US account, address in US/UK and then ships from, say, Asia then ebay are going to get twitchy.

There is a lot it could be. i go through phases where they are tough to make. Sometimes it's just luck,

I lost 4 in a row this week including a business, some you can appeal but chat just gives you bs answers, you gotta call them or get someone whos, not from the Phillippines .
