Problem with getting SMS. Please advise.
 

Hi to all.
I'm trying to open my new eBay seller account.

Here is details of my problem:
1- I linked PayPal and add my VoIP phone.
2- Tried to list item, but eBay error-ed me about identify verification problem.
3- After I contacted eBay support and also read couple threads here I noticed it's problem with my phone.
4- Now I'm trying to update my phone and enter new REAL number. But I'm stuck. NO SMS COMING FOR ANY NUMBERS.

It's a week now, I'm trying 3 phone numbers every 24 hours.
I tried like 25 different phone numbers, other VoIPs , Verizon , AT&T and bla bla...
But getting no confirmation SMS anymore.

Some people said try to change IP, and other said clear your cookie.
None worked.

Please advise.

Open a new account, that one sounds red flagged

That sounds like technique error from ebay side. If I were you, I may call them, tell the story and they may probably figure this out..but don't mention that you have tried voip phone, only real phone number

@sisiso, what is your IP source?

First I was on 75.76.250.25.
But changed to VPN after trying some phones.

Using some rotating residential IP service.

I contacted support as you advised.
But stupid thing happened to me.

1- I contacted eBay support and then forwarded to account specialist.
2- The guy said, that's OK I'm gonna unblock your account so you can receive SMS and update your phone. You just need to wait 24 hours for system update.
3- After couple hours, my account banned permanently.
4- I contacted them again , but I just got copy and pasted s**t answers.

I'm not sure the phone had problem or it was IP.:noidea:
But it's time to try new eBay. :violin:
