ebay/paypal 21 day holds for new users
 

I know if i add a tracking #, i could get my money much sooner, however, the items i sell are actually digital so they are delivered by email. I did, however, choose the postal delivery option. Two questions:
1) Can i just input a random tracking #? Make one up...
2) If i dont add a tracking #, will i still receive my funds after 21 days?

I don't suppose you should just input any tracking numbers. Tracking numbers are usually checked behind the scenes. There's no telling what might happen if you're caught.

If you don't include tracking and there aren't any problems with your transactions, you should get your money.

Have you considered sending out a blank letter for every sale and offsetting that with a tiny increase in your prices?

If that's not worth it, then you probably aren't in the best niche.

I had an account where I sold digital Pokemon cards but would send a physical card in the mail with tracking (cost $3 or so for postage) to maintain seller ratings for on time tracking upload/valid tracking upload and to get the money sooner. But again depends on your margins and if you can afford to send a physical package.

I there any cheap way of sending a letter to canada or usa to get tracking ?

Get positive feedback's from your customers, it helps to remove holds faster

It's £1.70, slightly less if you have RM business account and it takes up to 7 days.
You can add that to your listed prices.

I wonder how that would work out if you turned on GSP and send it to the UK instead. The cost will go up for your customers but you're sure to avoid defects and some fraudulent cases.
