Inr cases, late delivery what happens?
 

Thanks to lockdown, brexit, crappy postal system or whatever a few items which were sent out on time and with tracking have not arrived yet and the estimated delivery date has passed. Some customers have opened item not received cases. Tracking shows that the items are in transit but they want refunds. What is a likely outcome if they ask eBay to step in to help..

Should I refund or let eBay make a decision..

I am in the same position with a few items, but most of my items have been sent out postcodes which have delayed postage.

Read the link below and see if it has any of your customers postcodes, and then forward the link to them for their reassurance.

I forwarded the link (news article) to many customers, and they seemed satisfied and are willing to wait longer.

Say whatever you can to reassure/pacify your buyers. I have had a few buyers that escalated to customer service and have had mixed results. In one instance CS just went ahead and refunded the buyer, in the other instances CS "froze" the case for several days and the items were delivered during the timeframe.

If there is no movement in the past 10 days, ebay will side against you. If there is, they will put it on hold. If they side against you, you still have 30 days to appeal it if it does get delivered. If you refund, then that's that.

James is correct,if there is progress since the last tracking ,Ebay will give you more time.
In US,one can ask the carrier to intercept the package,with USPS you can either do this online or go to a post office and ask them to tell the buyer post office,either hold it or return it back to you,fee applied.
so if you lose the case,and the item is still in transit and it is expensive,do so
