DHL parcel stuck in Germany Leipzig
 

Hi everyone,

Ive never had a parcel stuck in Germany before using dhl until now. It was supposed to be delivered Monday but it’s said processed at LEIPZIG-GERMANY twice.

Tried using tracking number to pay import fees but nothing is coming up anybody have an idea on what may be going on here?

I was thinking has Brexit had anything to do with this as never experienced this before.

I may of put this post up to early as it’s left Germany now and in East Midlands UK. It’s strange as I ordered 2 parcels last week both weighing 5kg one shipped with DHL another shipped with fedex no customs fees to be paid on both of them.

This order weighs around 10kg and so far saying customs updated in East Midlands and no import fees to pay.

I’ve never experienced this before and wondering why I’m not paying import fees and how these parcels are getting to me with no charges on them?

If it's just a few days delay it's actually normal and it does happen, I'd give it up to a week before you call DHL

I ship 2-5 parcels daily with DHL. it is VERY rarely that it delays even for 1 day. 98% arrives 1 day before expected deliverydate.

Yes it did arrive one day later than expected delivery date.

Got a load more parcels coming next week.

But once again I didn’t have to pay for customs which really surprised me as parcel was worth around £450 weighing it at over 10kgs

Hi there im in the UK and order all the time from Aliexpress. There doesnt seem to be a customs fee now once parcel arrives to UK as i already paid a VAT charge of 20% when i pay for order on Aliexpress.

My parcel arrives in the East Midlands I don’t pay for vat at the moment or customs always checking tracking number to see if customs need to be paid as I’m happy to pay the fee but nothing coming up for these parcels yet.

These parcels are worth a lot more than the last lot as ordering more and more so maybe customs will be paid on these parcels.

Hopefully they will arrive safely.

right... the 2% happened to him and this is covid era...
