Can eBay/Paypal link my previous blocked accounts via passport?

Hey folks

I tried looking around the site for a while and on Google to find the answer to this but came up short so i thought i'd start a new thread.

I was perma restricted on ebay a few days ago.

I'm in the process of getting set back up again. New internet, bank accounts etc.

But what i would like to know is, eventually, eBay/Paypal will ask for identification/receipts etc.

If i upload my passport to eBay/Paypal will they use the information on it to link to my previous restricted account?

Any help would is appreciated!

would like to know too. Plan on making a new stealth PP and eBay with a nickname. Would they be able to link the previous restricted eBay account to the knew one?

If you used this passport before... OF COURSE they will link you.

Read the stealth guide. You'll understand everything on how things are run =)

Providing docs from an old account that is limited will link the new account, so try either creative or something new. at some point they will request id, invoices etc. it's a matter of time.

Could they link a passport that you sent the first time abd the account got limited and then link a driver license you sent them from a stealth with a Nickname (same last name)

Ok. I actually checked. My passport is out of date. I actually have 2 old passports. They both have different passport numbers. So if i get a new passport it will have a new number.

You mentioned that they will link it if i've "used it before". So technically if i get a new passport i wont have used the passport before. If they soley link it by the passport number then i should be fine(?)

Unless they link in by date of birth and my name on the passport?

So here's the thing, when they request docs it usually means something is wrong.
And most of the time it's not being used to reinstate your account, they'll use it against you so you can't re-register.

I'm one of the very few people here that has 15+ year old accounts and NONE have been asked for any kind of docs.
Why? Because I know how to make and work my accounts.

Do you know if eBay can see the Social Security number, ID, and or the information that's linked on my PayPal account to try and if it's linked to a suspended account.

I see you also sell VCC. But do you know of a VCC website that works to link my eBay and PayPal to? I need the name to be in mine not some randoms

Don't use similar/identical info and documents from old restricted accounts - easy link that PP can make

If your not suspended on PayPal but made it with a nickname but same last name and upload documents to verify your account, can eBay see those documents to link you to one of their eBay restricted accounts? Or are only PayPal allowed to see these documents?

You cannot use the same info, period.

Different first name, same last name is fine.

Ive ordered a new UK passport. What i noticed is that all my old passports have different I.D. numbers which is a bonus, so if names are fine the only thing is my date of birth on it. Is this something eBay keep a hold of?
