Default Will an inquiry by the police lead to account suspension?

If the police contacts eBay about an account suspected of selling counterfeit items such as Apple Airpods, will eBay ban that account even though no Vero hits were ever registered on the account itself?

Have you ever heard of such a thing?

I imagine they would only investigate if a large sum of money was involved. I'd be more concerned about the police than ebay...

Are you more concerned about your eBay account or the police... I'm sure the police would arrest you instead of contacting eBay and having them suspend you.

I cant see the police being involved with ebay, look at the buyer scammers who get away with everything....

Plus, if sh*t hits the fan, how would the police trace you assuming its a stealth account?

Don't worry buddy, sell your stuff and all should be fine. I have a lot of friends who sell counterfeit airpods (mentioned in the description of course).

The police in the UK have a very good relationship with both Ebay and Amazon. Both companies will pass information on a 'you didn't get it from us' basis but it may be enough for the police to continue any enquiries they are involved in

It does depend on the value and how many reports they have received

I can say this because a friend of mine is a detective in Swansea and he assures me that Ebay are VERY cooperative with law enforcement

If you are involved in scamming, counterfeit or fraud rest assured Ebay will give the police what ever they want

If you are involved I suggest you cover your tracks very quick

Have you ever heard of such a thing?
did the police just target you?
are you a high volume seller?
sometimes they can buy one from you just to see.
or someone snitch or they get hold of your supplier and start tracing

Ebay may not suspend you but it could if you keep selling and buyers filed disputes or report you.
some buyers are actually Vero members

I know "someone" whose listed 300+ airpods on one account and was fine until eBay recently restricted them. They even asked for an invoice and everything. You'll most likely be fine. eBay usually gives a warning to stop selling them until they restrict your account or anything. And when they do restrict it, I don't believe they contact any law enforcement or anything.

The OP has been posting about phakes, troubles since joining

We never get to know the true reason for a question.

That is what happens when counterfeits are a problem. Items are acquired for legal purposes.

I've been going after a guy who has had 100's of accounts and has made millions selling a specific ⊗⊗⊗⊗ product. Ebay doesn't seem to give a ****, nor do the police. They suspend him and then he is back with a new account, probably bought on here lol. He's completed destroyed the legitimate market that I'm in. I'm on forums where the consensus is now " don't even dare buy this product on ebay. Ever. It's great for AD's, but sucky for normal resellers. But again, police don't do ****, so I doubt anything will happen to the OP.

Nobody is after me for selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods, but I was hypothesizing a possible scenario. I would actually be more worried about the eBay account than the the police.

I believe thats the FBI that you would need to be concerned with, not the local constable. And I doubt you have sold enough to make the FBI even flinch in your direction. But if you are worried about it, and enjoy your life outside jail bars, then perhaps you should stop. Even if the money is good, just remember those legal fees add up fast. They add up a lot faster than your profits.

Trueeee I'm sure the FBI or whatever agency would only be interested in the top dogs making/manufacturing and then also maybe big sellers/distributors. Not some guy in Nebraska selling a couple online
