Creating a legit eBay account 2021
 

I am preparing myself to create an eBay account under my wife's name, business address, her SSN, business phone(lan line), business internet(brand new service/IP) with her name on the utility bill.

When creating a new eBay account in 2021, do you automatically go to managed payments? Can you opt for manage payments? I prefer to not mess with Paypal, as she probably has a VERY old paypal account. I prefer not to mess with that, as we don't know what address is on it, we don't want to log into it, etc. It's still a good account as far as we know, never been sold on, but I don't want to F with it. I'd rather create everything legit in Ebay/MP and never have to change the info. So the question is, when creating a fresh ebay account in 2021 --- what are they going to ask for? Will they automatically ask for a utility bill and/or identification? I can produce the utility bill, the identification (my wife's drivers license) has our banned mailing address on it. I prefer not to produce that.

You start with Paypal. I think it will be years until you will be able to register with MP.

Why not just use your name?

It looks like I may need to start with a Paypal account. I wonder if I can have her create a new one... maybe she never provided a lot of information to them.... she only bought a few things.

If you are a master at eBay and PP and her PP has never had an eBay account attached to it, then you can make an eBay acc then attach it to her PP account.

If you are still learning, make fresh eBay and PP accounts on your own.

My name, address and paypal are banned. She at some point had a Paypal possibly at one of our previous addresses. I was trying to avoid dealing with Paypal incase they tried to link her old paypal, to my name and ban her. It sounds like I should actually try to have her create a new paypal, business address, and avoid them linking the two. My only issue is her address on her license equals the banned address and does not equal the business address.
