Increase Selling Limits
 

Hi,

What mehod has everyone found the quickest to increase selling limits? Do you think opening an ebay store helps? Or do you just have to sell and get positive feedback for 2/3 months?

Just operate the acct and sell to the limits and provide good service. Those limits will increase naturally on their own.

Keep selling and hitting the monthly limits.
Get good feedback and build good history.

Organic limit increase = best

You can increase your limits organically. Hit the selling limit every month whilst maintaining good feedback and history.

Or

You can contact support which I have done so many times in the past. Just explain to them your business model and as long as its a nice agent they should increase your limits.

Yeah i am tempted to request the higher allowance but worried they may ban me if they look into my account for some reason. I know they like throwing bans around alot these days im trying to stay under the radar it's just this 500 limit is a pain :(

Not worth the risk when doing things naturally works just as well and makes the acct stronger.

yah and risk something goes wrong.

Organic is still best, it's safest and you can build multiple accounts up as well. Not just one account.

Yeah I'd stay away from contacting them. My last real eBay account was restricted when I contacted eBay support about seller fees. And then they ended up suspending me, (never told me why)

It's because they deem you a risk and don't like your business model .

Any one that says "yea, just call in, it's easy" . . . . . never had your experience and most of us veterans with many accounts have gone through this.

So ive been selling on this account for 2 months now into the 3rd. Ive not sold a huge amount but ive listed to the limits and sold around £300 total and all positive feedback, yet my limits haven't gone up yet. Do you think i should convert this account to a business account ive read that having a business account helps increase limits and this is a personal one hence the 500 limit.

I'd say wait a little more.

It could go up at any moment.

Make more accounts too.

Resist trying to force anything, if you have listed to the limit already but not selling to the limit then it is not worth risking a ban trying to force increased selling limits imho, as the vips have said already just let it grow organically, and get busy creating back ups. Switching to business also carries it's own risks.
