Ebay asking me for bank details for Stealth Account
 

I bought a Ebay (Business) and Paypal stealth account a couple of years ago.

Recently Ebay have advised that they are not longer using paypal for sellers.

They are now asking me to add bank details the problem is that the bank accounts I have are only on my name.

The name of the account is someone else in a different city.

Anyway of over coming this at all so I can get back selling ?

Which bank are you using? Many banks are friendly to stealth name deposits...

It's got nothing to do with finding 'friendly banks', ebay have made it clear, as have the many posts on this forum and the main ebay forums too, that the account name must match the bank account name.

For business accounts only or for personal too ?

Its a personal account, they are no longer letting me link PayPal into my seller account.

I only have bank details under my name not the name on the ebay account.

Whenever I put a account under my name in my seller account it keeps rejecting it more than likely as its not on the name of the ebay account.

Is there anyway around this or is my ebay account dead for selling ?

Put the stealth name and your bank details. it's worth a try

thats Ebay/MP,it wants the name of the Ebay account to match the bank account

I did but they rejected the account as it auto populates the stealth name under account name.

can you add the stealth name to your existing personal account?
Do you have his SSN?
But then it is not safe,as government can grab money from that account

I do not know if this is a US ebay or UK ebay, but US ebay MP cannot see the name on the bank account. The bank will not share that info with ebay, paypal, MP, or very rarely another bank.

Not sure how it works in the UK

This is EBAY UK. Guess it makes it pointless to have a stealth account if ebay are stopping people for using paypal.

change your ebay details to your real name and address then link your bank account.

I bought a stealth account as the last account i had on my name got suspended wouldn't this cause issues

Last night, i switched a ebay over to managed payments from stealth. I used a new name , i forget if i changed the address. i don't recall.Anyway, it would not let me go past the page either, it kept kicking me back, i then went into profile/address/registration info and changed the name on the account, then went to managed payments and it worked. I can't be for sure if i needed to do that or not, because i had accidentally clicked to the SSN page before that. So i am a bit annoyed about that, i wanted to test it to be sure. I don't think i have anymore MP needing accounts right now thought to test if i need to edit the name on the account BEFORE clicking on the managed payments wizard or not. I do know, that the 4-5 i switched over never asked me for deposits or statements etc.. it just took the bank info down and didn't require me to verify anything, maybe just got lucky..

I have the same issue than OP. My real name was BANNED with my old account.

I guess if change to my real name, i'll banned again. I'm right?

This looks like stealth accounts are going to be pointless in the future as Ebay are ending there partnership with paypal and if you dont have a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ bank account its not going to work

The fact that the stealth creates have nothing about this in there guide I think the stealth account is dead end.
