Default Listing reports

I got several listings removed because of reports that's it's counterfeit even items itself didn't have any logo at all and brand name in description was for reference only, items was accurately described as they don't made by brand. EBay even have "compatible brand" option to choose for such items. Before only those who authorised by brand could report items on eBay and got them removed but now it seems that anybody could do this? How many reports should listing get to be removed? Any info how to fight with these problems?

The counterfeit report option is heavily abused by competitors. There is no way to fight it i'm afraid, if you are selling unbranded stuff, your listing shouldn't be removed, you should contact ebay and have it restored. If you're selling phakes or vero items or even digital items, high chance of you being reported for counterfeit. My personal experience is that it doesn't take many reports, sometimes evne one person reporting your listing could get it removed, the main thing to take away from it is that it depends on your account history/feedback. If you have a strong account, it won't be that easy, if it's a fairly new account with low feedback, counterfeit report is going to ruin you. It's a real hassle and heavily abused, competitor reports you for counterfeit, you fight back one way or another and get them suspended, endless cycle. No one wins except a select few with strong accounts.

vmdetection is right on in general - it's rough OP - that kind of info on how to fight these problems is unlikely to be just fronted openly as well
