eBay sales question

eBay stealth account up and running, made a couple of sales happy days.

Question is:- I listed a jacket on auction with a £39.99 starting price.

Someone has messaged me asking if I'll accept his offer of £45

I only listed the jacket yesterday, it has 12 views, 2 watchers and 0 bids with 4.5 days remaining...

He has given me this offer as he needs it quick for a friends birthday.

Will me adding a BIN price for him to accept alarm eBay?

I just want to check to be extra safe as I'm not only fairly new to stealth, I'm new to eBay which is why I got suspended in the first place! Lol.
Thanks in advance

Re: eBay sales question

I would leave the auction as is and wait for the winning buyer to pay even if you earn less than this buyer's offer.
Your aim is to groom your account from infancy to well-grounded stealth so don't lose focus doing favours that may be risky.

I would recommend him to participate in the auction. As mostly such activity is scam. Buy fast, then offer off-ebay pp payment with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ payment confirmation and ask to send fast fast to some suspicious address. Old as universe.

I think this is excellent advice.

Thank you very much.

I hope many users grasp what you are saying.

Answers like this is why I am SO grateful for this group! Thank you, I took your advice...

I messaged the person saying I appreciate his offer but I'm letting the auction run until the finishing date due to being away from home this week, so I wouldn't be able to post it asap for them anyway....

I asked what was the date they needed the jacket by and there response was by next Friday!!!

The auction finishes this Friday and I'm posting it with Royal mail 2nd class, so it'll be delivered well within the time frame they need it.

Either they were looking for a quick bargain, or there is something fishy going on...

I wouldn't have done the sale outside of eBay and have managed payments set up.

Lesson learnt - I will continue to grow this account into a well grounded stealth account :-)

I've gone ahead with just letting the auction run :-) explained the situation more in my previous post! Thank you!
