So does the Gmail app cause linkage or not?

So does using the Gmail App on both Android & iOS for accessing all the emails of all your accounts cause them to be linked?

Images enabled and the app is used exclusively for viewing and answering to emails.

Anyone here having the same setup with no issues?

It's not possible. Just go to any image in a Gmail message, right click it, either inspect the element or click "copy image location".

You'll see something like:

But the image in my email was this:

And was hosted here before it got to my gmail inbox:

Everything is routed through gmail proxy servers before delivery and after you reply to "protect you" and help google collect data.

I can't say for sure if it's safe to respond to eBay messages. Probably, but I don't know. :noidea:

Since I don't even want to wonder about it and considering how things keep changing by the ways you login to them even on mobile, I simply just use them to check and NOT reply. ANd made sure no images of any kind are loaded.

I pretty much put all my energy into figuring out growth and not get stuck on "Convenience" or worrying about the back works.

Why would responding to customers' messages via the Gmail app potentially pose a risk?

I just eliminate anything that poses a question. It may be ok now, but you never know when it changes right?

My motto has always been if it's not broken and I'm not losing money, why deal with it?

Just the risks and headaches outweighs the rewards for me

Because when you respond you're dealing with eBay servers. Since your responses will have come from a gmail proxy server it's most likely no risk at all. I just don't know enough one way or the other to say though and I don't want to make you feel safe if you're not.

Re: So does the Gmail app cause linkage or not?

I have my stealth accounts Gmail logged in on my phone, along side other Gmail accounts.

Images are turned off...

I use this feature to be notified on my phone by an email from eBay, so I know to go ahead and log into my eBay stealth account on my laptop to deal with the situation...

I have not and will not ever open any of the emails, nor reply to them.

To each their own. Nothing wrong with opening them but I can understand your hesitancy.
