Selling Clothing on a new account - VERO issue?

I am getting a new MP account set up soon and I have a number of new, authentic and tagged t-shirts that I want to put up to get the account some sales for a couple of months before heading to my $2K sales a month. My plan is $100 first month sales, $300 second month sales and $500 third before listing the large items.

Are these VERO items or should clothing of any sort be avoided during the new account break-in period? I plan to sell under $12 each and while I do not make any profit now, when I am confidant it has selling history, I will go to my profit items.

If they're copyrighted then there is a VeRO. VeRO means verified rights owner. Branded clothing generally isn't the best sort of item to start out with since branded clothing is commonly counterfeited. People here like to use the term "VeRO" in place of "counterfeit" but they don't really mean the same thing, lol.

eBay seems to have ditched the VeRO program for the most part anyway. Instead of getting a "VeRO takedown" where the copyright owner would contact eBay and you'd be given the copyright owner's contact info, nowadays you just get a message saying "Listing removed - counterfeit item violation." That's been my experience at least. TBH I hope they have phased out the VeRO program since it was heavily abused by competitors in tons of categories.
