Do you think those 2 accounts are linked?
 

I lived in a building around 5 years ago, the building had around 300 units in total and the specs are as follows:

Address: Example street 20, City ####

My unit (Flat) number: 15


Each unit was setup with an internet connection plus a router supplied by the housing company.


When I moved out, someone I know took over my apartment and as such he ended up using the same router I used to have in my flat. So I guess by him updating his address on eBay's books and sharing the same IP there was a link created between his and my eBay, right? He lived at that address for a short time and moved out 4 years ago.




Do you think the link that was created between my account and his 5 years ago is still valid in eBay's eyes? His account is still a buyer account to this day, but I am afraid he will sign up as a seller in the near future and get banned :noidea:

if he has moved 4 years ago ,so his IP adr would have been different.

He took over the aprtment around 1 month after I moved out of it, I don't know whether that housing company had static IP addresses or not, but he definitely gotten few eBay buys shipped to that new address which I used to have.

No this will not cause any issue, just ip even not enough to link the account, and ebay is not that smart!

They are enough to make a link. Won't necessarily trigger a suspension, but when there are issues, these links will be used.

Nah, won't happen. There are tons of eBay users who live in apartments and do not control the internet connection. Unless they used the same computer and browser or there's been activity between the two accounts there is nothing to worry about.

There is a lady from UK who posted on this forum,she was suspended as Ebay linked her to someone in the building who was suspended,the building provides internet access to all clients
