Personal to Business Ebay account upgrade issue
 

Hello.

I have been trying to upgrade my personal Ebay account to Business but it seems the "Edit" button is missing. I have tried on several international Ebay platforms (UK, DE, US, CA) same issue. Does anyone have an idea for how long this issue is ongoing? After conctacting CS agents they advised that i should wait 48-72h for Ebay to fix that. Thanks in advance

It's a glitch probably. You should have this option when start registering to MP also.

I addressed with this problem in support 2-3 weeks ago, they told me that they knew about the problem and would solve as soon as possible!

But the problem has not been resolved ..

I don’t think is a glitch. I think the only option to upgrade to business is to do it thru mp so they can check your details properly. If you upgrade thru mp will work.

How about of creating a new Ebay business account from beginning in a country which MP is not a mandatory?

MP will be mandatory for all sellers to the end of the year.

This is true point - there might be a delay in rolling out to all sellers but it will come

I've contacted eBay several times and they always say it's a glitch, but I don't think it's a glitch. I think it's deliberate. I suspect it will be left in place until they can implement a more viable solution to prevent folks like us from hopping onto MP while evading certain checks.

Even when you do it through MP, the loophole still exist. You get the edit button that allows you to change to a business, but you might hit another snag that requires you to contact eBay to complete your upgrade.
This is just one of many observations from upgrading scores of accounts.
