Got a weird situation myself with 3 ebay accounts all linked with same info from 13 years ago creation - all were using same pp before - all moved to MP - 2 of them no issues, 1 of them having an issue of ID request...

I got this yesterday, uploaded a real passport and real bank statement. Then indefinitely suspended with 24 hours.

The account wasn't really stealth, I used my girlfriends thai passport and a wise bank account in her name. Account details all in her name. U.K. address, wise account has that U.K. address

I have a feeling it was the wise bank statement that worries them. If I could open that in her name and her not even being here at the moment they must also know wise accounts are easy to abuse?

it is wise for sure , unfortunately wise is massively abused because anyone can open accounts there and their selfie requests are easy to deal with

By the way, any difference in acc being suspended completely or just MP restricted in terms of getting paid, or ebay never pays money out?

the problem is that you don't know how many people have been using it , it could be heavily abused , especially after payoneer and some others were blacklisted and then again there is the problem that you are registered in Latvia but use foreign IBAN's

why don't use at least local virtual accounts? there are many virtual accounts providers from Latvia

For example? None give LV ibans. And local controlling authority is extremely strict as well, so even LV-issued prepaid cards are banned from loading any online wallet like Wise.

They clearly state that for EEA sellers bank account from any EU country is fine, not like in UK or US, where only local accounts are accepted.

anyway , the following virtual accounts should not be used on ebay

I have compiled a list of the major ones with UK sort-codes , it is better to stay away from them otherwise it is likely that the ebay account will be suspended sooner or later as these accounts are by far the most abused ones

The same applies to the same banks in other countries as they assign loads of virtual accounts abroad as well

I used to have accounts with epayments , mistertango and I saw many others that state Latvia and Lithuania as their locations

I saw that but it does not rule out suspensions , it does not say anything about virtual accounts either and I saw the recent terms for MP UK , they state there that EEA accounts can be used for the UK but in reality UK only

there are very many others , they are all abused so eventually all virtual accounts from Latvia and Lithuania are heavily abused but it may work if the ebay account is registered there as well

Apart from the above mentioned UK/EUR/USA bank accounts I recommend to stay away from these abused virtual bank accounts:

1) any bank accounts based in Latvia , Lithuania , Estonia

it does not matter which ones because these 3 countries massively assign virtual and real accounts to non-residents and there is a lot of abuse there

the only exception is if resident of one of these countries opens ebay , then I would only use a major local bank

2) Bunq - I believe it is from France , it is massively abused

3) All accounts from Wise as those are massively abused as well

that is apart from UK , EUR and USA

Have you opened one recently? Last time I attempted to open a few (shortly after they officially changed to Wise) I always had to do ID and selfie verification through the app. No option to do it on the website.

I did not try recently as I already have lots of wise stealth accounts. I will test soon , could be that something changed in the meantime

if this should be the case alternative solutions could be found , payoneer can still easily be opened as stealth and only withdrawal methods would need to be adjusted

as far as direct use of wise on ebay is concerned , it seems that ebay have already picked up that wise accounts are abused a lot and they are being blacklisted for those people who are looking to use wise directly on ebay. although I think it was a bad idea from the beginning as stealth accounts do not work with Adyen. Instead payoneer is the way to go and unlike wise , it is possible to withdraw to a large number of different countries and banks from payoneer

Are these random? my personal account was restricted today. It’s my real acct so I can verify but how long should it take I’ve seen 20+ days?? Am I supposed to front shipping cost for a month?

I do use a VPN sometimes. Maybe that flagged me.

I have tested it and it shows that it must be a photo from phone , as far as I understand a photo could be uploaded to phone in advance and then uploaded to their site?

No the Amex account doesn’t receive eBay DD unfortunately. They have a visa checking account that works with eBay. no minimum but they verify id at signup.

I believe this has been happening with bank accounts that are frequently abused on ebay. You need to send them what they want , their reply may take time though. Some people wrote they had fast replies but most had to wait for weeks

in the UK you should better use you real details as stealth is close to impossible

stealth runs well on payoneer but it would be outside the UK

How can you run stealth on Payoneer if ebay is asking for Europe countrys only IBAN ? Or you mean with outside - USA, Canada ?

this is the best way indeed , the good thing about payoneer is that they offer a lot of withdrawal options. Adyen are very limited comparing to payoneer , they only allow to withdraw to local bank accounts and now apparently they are also limiting the selection of banks so that no every bank account is eligible for payout

I guess eBay is getting some ID info from payioneer and accounts were linked and closed.
